A total of 22 projects from 14 countries have been selected for the 9th edition of When East Meets West, the Italian coproduction forum taking place on 20-22 January 2019 within the Trieste Film Festival.

In 2019 WEMW will bring together more than 450 industry professionals from over 35 countries, particularly from the 2019 East&West spotlight territories: Central Eastern Europe (Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and the Ukraine) and Benelux (Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands).

Alongside the pitching forum and the three side sections, WEMW will feature a rich programme including several panels.
