AMSTERDAM: The European Federation of Screenwriters elected Polish writer Maciej Karpinski as its Vice President during the organisation’s general assembly in Amsterdam on 11 October 2019.
Karpinski is the author of 18 screenplays, working with leading Polish and international directors, including Angrzej Wajda and Agnieszka Holland.
The European Federation of Screenwriters is comprised of 26 organisations from 21 European countries, representing some 7,000 professionals. Its activities include lobbying on behalf of screenwriters at the European Union and internationally, and organising a world conference of writers.
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region. The webportal and FNE newswire was chosen as the MAIN TOOL to achieve the network’s objectives of the sharing of know how, visibility of regional cultural diversity and finally the VOICE of the region.
FNE’s objectives include VISIBILITY for the region and AUDIENCES for films by providing a special focus on the region.
