LIberty Global reports minimal revenue growth in Central Europe

    Liberty Global, the international cable company, reported 1% consolidated rebased growth in its Central Europe operations at the end of the third quarter of 2009, compared with 8% worldwide for the company.

    The company reported operating cash flow of $1.82 billion. Liberty Global (www.lgi.,com) owns cable provider UPC, which launched broadband operations in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary in September. Digital cable subscriptions were up 37% in the region. In July, UPC Slovenia was sold to Mid Europa Partners.

    The company trades on NASDAQ as LBTYA, LBTYB and LBTYK.
