The nominations for best television documentary include Bulgaria's The Children of Drujba, produced by Cineste Maudit Production (www.cine-ma.com ), Croatia's The Square: 20th Century on Film, produced by the Association for Interdisciplinary and Intercultural Research (www.uiii.org ), the Czech Republic's Cinematherapy, produced by Czech TV (www.ceskatelevize.cz ), Romania's Kapitalism - Our Improved Formula, produced by HiFilm Production (www.hifilm.ro ) and three Polish productions: At the Edge of Russia, produced by Ozumi Films in co-production with TVN (www.tvn.pl), Komeda - A Soundtrack for a Life, produced by Benedikt Pictures (www.benediktpictures.com) and Warsaw Available, produced by Eureka Media (www.eurekamedia.info ).
Three films will compete in the best television fiction honors: the Czech Republic's Born Without Childbirth, produced by Czech TV, Estonia's The Class - Life After Ep? produced by Estonian Public Broadcasting (www.err.ee ) and Hungary's The Breathe In, produced by Unio Film (www.uniofilm.hu ).
The Prix Europa is the largest competition for Television, Radio and Emerging Media in Europe. The winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on 23 October at Haus des Rundfunks in Berlin. The prize money totals to €72,000.

WARSAW: Eight feature television productions from Central and Eastern Europe will compete for the Prix Europa (www.prix-europa.de ) along with shorter formats in nine different prize categories. From 543 submissions, 220 productions have been selected to compete. Production companies and broadcasters from 31 European countries will compete for the best European production of the year title. The European Commission's newcomer award for film students will go to the best video on multilingualism.
