The selection committee, composed of five film critics and one producer, selected from 16 titles this year. Morgen received four out of the six votes.

Morgen , the story of the unusual friendship between a Romanian man living by the Romanian-Hungarian border and a Turkish man who wants to illegally cross it, was one of the most awarded Romanian films in 2010.

It was awarded best director and best leading male ex aequo - Andras Hathazi and Yilmaz Yalcin - at Thessaloniki IFF. It also received four prizes at Locarno IFF including the Special Jury Prize, and best director at goEast Wiesbaden.

The film is a Romanian-French-Hungarian coproduction from Anca Puiu and Mandragora (www.mandragora.ro), Marianne Slot and Slot Machine (www.slotmachine.fr), and Ivan Angelusz and Peter Reich for Katapult Film (www.katapultfilm.hu).

Mandragora Movies distributed the film in Romania where it opened 1 October 2010, while Les Films de Losange (www.filmsdulosange.fr) is in charge of the international sales.

Crişan won the Palm d'Or with the short film Megatron in 2008.
