Born in 1976, Vulpescu graduated with a degree in Theology in Bucharest and holds an M.A. in Doctrine and Culture and a Ph.D in Philosophy. On his blog, http://ionutvulpescu.wordpress.com, he confesses that he likes Laurel and Hardy, Casablanca and La dolce vita, but also Gladiator, Seinfeld and Californication.
Vulpescu follows Csilla Hegedus at the top of the Ministry of Culture, who left the position as soon as her party, the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (DAHR/UDMR), decided to step down from the government.
