The competition includes Ana Lungu's The Adventures of a Dutiful Daughter / Autroportretul unei fete cuminti which had its world premiere in Rotterdam, and Grzegorz Jaroszuk's debut feature Kebab & Horoscope.
The festival will open with Taxi by Jafar Panahi and will screen 18 other films in the Panorama section, such as Joshua Oppenheimer's Look of Silence, Abel Ferrra's Pasolini and Far From the Madding Crowd by Thomas Vinterberg. The programme also includes Homage to Alain Resnais.
The films will be screened in two venues, Cinema Studio and Cinema Elvira Popescu. Bucharest International Film Festival is organised by Fundatia Charta with the support of the Romanian National Film Centre, under the Patronage of Prince Radu of Romania.
