The festival will have again a competition for new features from Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary. France will be the special guest of this edition.
The programme will again include yiddish films from the National Center for Jewish Film of Boston-based Brandeis University and a selection of the Romanian director Mircea Veroiu, debates and photo exhibitions .
MECEFF is a new member of Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe, the new platform launched by the European Festivals Association (EFA), the pilot project of the European Commission (European Commission).
The festival is organised by Ecran Cinema Management, the Mediaş Town Hall, Romanian Cultural Institute, Romanian Ministry of Culture, Romanian National Film Center (CNC), and the Târnave Region.
