BUCHAREST: Pro TV acquired the production and broadcasting license of the famous format Survivor. The Romanian TV channel also started the selection for the reality show, which will be broadcast as Supraviețuitorul.
The Survivor format was created in the UK 1992 and the first show was screened in Sweden in 1997. Castaway Television now holds the rights. The format has already been launched in other CEE countries including the Baltics, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia.
More than 50 territories throughout the world hold the production license of the format. Pro TV is a private channel owned by Central European Media Enterprises (CME).
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region.
