The new edition will screen a rich collection of works situated on the borderline between cinema and visual arts, which are usually shown in museums and art galleries.

BIEFF has also partnerships with Cannes Film Festival, Berlinale Forum Expanded, Rotterdam International Film Festival, Cinedans – Dance on Screen Festival Amsterdam, Oberhausen International Short Film Festival.

The International Competition will be built around six themes: Digital Dystopias, Journeys into the Subconscious, Transgressive Bodies, Urban Rituals, The Artist Is Present, Danger Is My Business.

Created under the patronage of the National University of Theatre and Film I.L. Caragiale and the National University of Arts Bucharest, with the support of the Romanian National Cinema Centre (CNC), BIEFF has as its main focus the courage to experiment in cinematic language.
