Ten films will compete in the Central & Eastern Europe competition programme, while 11 titles were selected for the Romanian competition. The festival also organises a student competition and a short film competition. Sidebar events include a focus on Norway and the children programme ASTRA Film Junior.
ASTRA FILM FESTIVAL Sibiu is the biggest documentary film festival in Romania and one of the most prestigious documentary film festivals in Central & Eastern Europe.
The festival is organised by ASTRA FILM – Centre for Documentary Film and Visual Education, Department the National Museum ASTRA in Sibiu and by the ASTRA FILM Foundation.
