Cristian Nicolescu from Digital Cube told FNE that Quo vadis, Aida! will be a coproduction between Deblokada (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Digital Cube (Romania), Isabella Films (the Netherlands), coop99 (Austria), Indie Sales (France), Razor (Germany) and NEM Corp (Poland). The budget is 3.5 m EUR.
Among other minority coproductions that received funding are The Son by Ines Tanović, coproduced by Romania’s Luna Film, and Tomorrow Will Be Another Day by Pedro Pinho, coproduced by deFilm production.
Radu Jude received production funding for his new feature film The Sleepwalkers / Somnambulii, as well as for the documentary Arrival of a Train at the Station / Intrarea trenului în gară, both international coproductions produced by Micro Film.
The grants were announced on 19 October 2018 for the production of feature films, long and short documentaries, short fiction films, animated films and thematic films, and also for the development of feature films, documentaries and animated films.
