Ognjen Glavonić’s debut feature, which had its world premiere in Cannes’ Quinzaine des Réalisateurs 2018, is a gripping story of a truck driver who learns that the cargo he’s been transporting from Kosovo to Belgrade contains the bodies of victims of the war in Yugoslavia.
“Something like a cross between Wages of Fear and the bleak, post-apocalyptic reality of a Bela Tarr film, Ognjen Glavonić’s debut feature is nothing short of a revelation. We can’t wait for audiences to see this film”, president of Grasshopper Ryan Krivoshey said in a statement.
The film was produced by Non-Aligned Films in coproduction with Cinéma Defacto, Kinorama, Three Garden Films and Dart Film & Video, with the support of Aide aux cinémas du monde — CNC, Eurimages, the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, Visions Sud Est, Film Center Serbia, Hubert Bals Fund, Doha Film Institute and the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.
