The script written by Patrik Pašš jr. and awarded with the Tibor Vichta award in 2006 follows Riki and his mother who move into an apartment in a new block of flats. During the first night Riki sees black creatures, Raven Men, appear and take a crystal from his mother’s bed. Riki will then follow them into Goluta, the world of fantasy.
The project has already been presented at Animafest Zagreb in 2013 and Cartoon 360 in 2014. The producer Barbara Roháčová from the production company Plutoon talked to FNE about her interest in international forums and markets: "The production of the first Slovak feature animation film deserves great financial costs as well as a big team. That´s why we are looking for international partners, coproducers and sales agents from the very beginning and we are also looking for new contacts. After finishing the trailer we already have all the basic visuals completed, which is the best moment to introduce it internationaly."
The developement of the film has already been supported by the Slovak Audiovisual Fund with 34,400 EUR since 2011.The estimated budget of the film is 2.9m EUR.
The beginning of the production is planned for 2016. The previous Slovak animated feature film was Bloody Lady by Viktor Kubal from 1980.
