VFF 2015 opened with the screening of The Godfather in the presence of Christopher Newman, who received an Oscar nomination for the film, and wrapped with a selection of short films (fiction, documentary and animated films) produced by the Academy of Theatre, Film and Television Ljubljana (AGRFT) and the Academy of Performing Arts Bratislava (VŠMU).
Films from FAMU Prague, UNATC Bucharest, SZFE Budapest, ADU Zagreb, LMTA Vilnius, Lodz Film School were also presented throughout the event. The festival also screened a selection from the Fest Anča International Animation Film Festival.
This year, Visegrad Film Forum's special guests were Christopher Newman (three-time Oscar winner for sound including horror cult classic The Exorcist), Sicilian directors and scriptwriters Fabio Grassadonia and Antonio Piazza (who won two awards at Cannes 2013), Danish filmmaker, investigative reporter and TV presenter Mads Brügger (awarded at Sundance for The Red Chapel), Ludmila Cviková (independent film curator, script, film funding and festival strategies advisor), and the young film editor Brigitta Bacskai (who presented her work on her debut feature Free Entry, shot during two years at Sziget Music Film Festival in Budapest.).
