An international team of animators and illustrators brought in by the initiators of the project, the Slovak production company OZ Holubník, plan to create the first ten episodes by the end of 2016.
“Each seven-minute episode of the series tells a different story with animal figures stylised in human roles. The plan is to produce 70 minutes of a unique cartoon for European audiences, which will be distributed mainly via social media,“ Dorota Holubová from OZ Holubník said.
Vincent & Sheep is a 2D animated series based on visual humour with no spoken word. Vincent is a wolf, who lives in a small forest, listens to classical music, collects coins, builds sailing ships in bottles, and just enjoys his calm life. However, his life is disrupted by three small, naughty sheep, who turn his daily activities upside-down and involve Vincent in their merry games.
The Slovak/Swedish coproduction was initiated by Matej Holub, known from In Out Studio, who created the plotline of the series and will be also the director. The team of animators is prepared to look for other ways to make the series if the crowdfunding effort fails. The producers have until 18 May to reach their goal.
