The Serbian/Bosnian/Croatian portrait of a woman who accidentally discovers the truth about her seemingly perfect husband’s past, was competing with nine other titles shown in the Perspective Section. The international jury consisting of the founder of LIFFe, Jelka Stergel, Polish journalist Mariola Wiktor and Bosnian director Pjer Žalica explained: “The author has approached this sensitive and painful post-war topic in Serbian society very efficiently. The film is distinguished by real-life characters, strong narrative story structure, excellent acting and a very surprising and ethical turn of events.”
The Kingfisher Special mention went to the Israeli film One Week and a Day / Shavua ve Yom by Asaph Polonsky. Michael Dudok de Wit's animated film The Red Turtle / La tortue rouge was awarded by FIPRESCI.
The audience award went to Between Sea and Land / La ciénaga - entre el mar y la tierra by Manolo Cruz and Carlos del Castillo. The touching Columbian drama received the Dragon Award based on the highest audience score: 4.68 out of 5.
