{mosimage} Vojnović shot two successful short films which received domestic and international film awards. In the past year he achieved national recognition with his novel Outlanders raus! (Čefurji raus!) which has been at the top of the best seller list in recent months. Although Vojnović plans to make an adaptation of his novel, he decided to shoot a different story for his debut film.

{mosimage} In Piran - Pirano an old Italian man visits house in the Slovenian seaside city Piran where he was born. There he meets a Bosnian man and Slovenian woman who went through similarly tragically events 50 years ago at the end of Second World War. Thre three different and unusual life stories begin to cross in an emotional historical-love story.

The production budget is estimate at 1.6 million Euros. The film is produced by Franci Zajc (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) of Arsmedia (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.), whose last feature film Rooster's Breakfast (www.petelinjizajtrk.com) (also a debut film) was a Slovenian box office national hit in 2008. Vojnović told FNE he plans 35 shooting days: 15 days in December in Viba Film studio in Ljubljana (www.vibafilm.si) and 20 days in April in Piran. The premiere is planned for September 2010.
