As with his first feature film Carmen (www.emotionfilm.si/filmi/carmen), the new film will be adapted from his novel which was published last year.
The story evolves around 35 years old woman who has everything that a woman could wish: successful husband, lovely daughter and nice easygoing job. However she feels increasingly trapped by the household routine and she wants something more of life. When she suspects her husband is attracted to a young assistant in his office, she decides to break with routine to fulfill her personal and career ambitions as architecture. She leaves her husband and daughter and moves back in with her mother.
As previous Pevec's films The Weight of the Sky will be produced by Pevec's longtime producer Vertigo/Emotion film (www.emotionfilm.si) under producer Danijel Hočevar. The film reunites the crews from his previous film. The lead role is played by respected Slovenian actresses Polona Juh.
The film budget is 1,9 million Euros, Slovenian Film fund (www.film-sklad.si) contribute 850,000 Euros. The theatrical release is expected in December 2010.
