ZAGREB: Dražen Žarković plans to shoot The Mysterious Boy, a sequel to the box office success Koko and the Ghosts,in November-December 2012.

ZAGREB: Tomislav Mršić plans to shoot Cowboys, a comedic drama about eight people facing their lifetime opportunity to put on a theatre production, based on a popular Croatian play.
PRODUCTION: Magna cum fraudae in Development
BUCHAREST: Producer Iuliana Tarnoveţchi and Alien Film (www.alienfilm.ro) are developing Magna cum fraudae, a feature planned to shoot in Romania, Denmark, France and Spain.
The Romanian producer signed a deal memo with the France's C-Story, and is also looking for Danish and a Spanish co-producers. The project received a Robert Bosch Stiftung scholarship (www.bosch-stiftung.de) at the European Producers Workshop EAVE 2012(http://eave.org). The budget is 1.4 million Euros, Alien Film representatives told FNE.

SOFIA: A Hollywood film based on the video game of the same name Company of Heroes is spending the month of March filming in Bulgaria.
PRODUCTION: Raw and Cooked in Development
BUCHAREST: Gabriel Achim (Adalbert's Dream/Visul lui Adalbert) is developing Raw and Cooked, a political black comedy fantasy about the last days of Nicolae Ceauşescu.
The story takes place on 22 December 1989, when an engineer decides to save Ceauşescu and his wife from the lynch mob and to help them cross the border.

BERLIN: A new Georgian Ukrainian German coproduction Ursus the Caucasian Brown Bear is set to shoot in the Ukraine and Georgia in July and August of 2012. The 3.3m USD coproduction goes into pre-production next month.

PRODUCTION: My House on Wheels in Development
BUCHAREST: Cristian Pascariu's first documentary and first long film My House on Wheels will follow two truck drivers, focusing on the life, the stories and the untold secrets of a profession which we usually know from a few stereotypes.
"There is a folklore of the road which must not go to waste. Their world is made up of words, of stories, of fleeting hours and space, and in time, this world will fade away," Pascariu commented in the Director's note. He also wrote the film.

ZAGREB: Prague-based Croatian director Pavo Marinković is shooting his first documentary, a Croatian-Czech co-production between Mitropa and 8Heads Production (www.8heads.com).

WARSAW: Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski (Four Nights With Anna and Essential Killing) is writing a script adaptation of the famous war novel Squadron 303 for a large scale costume co-production between Poland, England, Germany and the Czech Republic.
PRODUCTION: Iguanas Begins Filming
BUCHAREST: Director/screenwriter Marian Crişan (Morgen) is currently filming Iguanas/Iguanele in northern Romania. The 30 day shoot will last through early March.
