BELGRADE: Italian agent Light On has acquired world sales rights for Iva Radivojević’s Serbian/American When the Phone Rang ahead of its world premiere in the Concorso Cineasti Del Presente competition at the Locarno Film Festival (7 - 17 August 2024). Radivojević’s third film was supported by Film Center Serbia.

BELGRADE: Film Center Serbia has allocated 1,965,339 EUR / 230 m RSD in four production categories for long films.

BELGRADE: The Provincial Government of Vojvodina allocated through the Provincial Secretariat for Culture, Public Information and Relations with Religious Communities 432,375 EUR / 50.7 m RSD for the production of nine long projects.

BELGRADE: The revered Danish film, TV and theatre actress Marijana Jankovic, who was born in Montenegro but moved with her family to Denmark as a child, has wrapped shooting her directorial debut feature Home / Hjem (working title) in Serbia. This Danish/Serbian coproduction has applied to the Serbian cash rebate scheme.

BELGRADE: Dragan Bjelogrlić’s Guardians of the Formula / Čuvari formule was released by L' Atelier d'images in French cinemas on 5 June 2024. Soul Films is handling the world sales of this coproduction between Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro and North Macedonia.

BELGRADE: New York-based Serbian cinematographer Miloš Jaćimović is in postproduction with his long observational documentary Sunset / Zalazak, which marks his directorial debut. The film is a Serbian/Montenegrin/Croatian coproduction supported by the respective national film centres.

BELGRADE: Nenad Pavlović’s sophomore feature Wanderlust / Izlet has started shooting. This black-and-white film is an adaptation of a book under the same-title written by the great Serbian painter, film director and writer Miodrag Mića Popović in 1957.

BELGRADE: Serbian dramedy That’s It For Today / Za danas toliko by Marko Đorđević reached no. 1 in Serbia with 11,194 admissions during the course of the second week and overall 21,249 admissions, grossing  91,078 EUR / 10,666,853 RSD.

BELGRADE: The shooting of the docudrama series Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints, hosted and narrated by Martin Scorsese, who is also the executive producer, will start in Belgrade and other locations in Serbia soon. Firefly Productions is servicing.
