ZAGREB: The Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) has distributed 2.572 m EUR for the production of two feature films and eight long documentaries, including one first long documentary. The two feature film projects are directed by Igor Šeregi and Nevio Marasović.

PULA: Fourteen long films including 11 feature films, one animated film and two documentaries are in the Croatian film section of the 70th Pula Film Festival, which will take place 15 – 22 July 2023. The war drama Hotel Pula directed by Andrej Korovljev and produced by Pula’s Kinematograf will open the festival.

DUBROVNIK: Ten keynotes, more than 60 speakers, exclusive screenings and special announcements are in the programme of New Europe Market Dubrovnik, which will take place from 5 to 8 June 2023.

ZAGREB: Croatian producer Sanja Ravlić, a member of the team that founded the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC), passed away on 19 May 2023.

ZAGREB: Six long animated films, including My Love Affair with Marriage by Signe Baumane and White Plastic Sky by Tibor Bánóczki and Sarolta Szabó, will compete in the Grand competition at the World Animated Film Festival - Animafest Zagreb. The festival will be held from 5 to 10 June 2023.

ZAGREB: The third spring edition of the joint programme of the Network of Festivals in the Adriatic Region will be held 21 - 28 April 2023 on the Kino Meeting Point online platform, and  will present four films from the programmes of the Sarajevo Film Festival (BiH), Auteur Film Festival (Serbia), Herceg Novi Film Festival (Montenegro), Ljubljana Film Festival (Slovenia) and Zagreb Film Festival (Croatia).

ZAGREB: The 19th ZagrebDox International Documentary Film Festival (26 March – 2 April 2023) has announced its winners. The Big Stamp main prize in the international competition was won by the Russian film Manifesto, authored under the pseudonym Angie Vinchito. Nikolaus Geyrhalter won the Big Stamp in the regional competition for Matter Out of Place.

ZAGREB: Croatian feature film The Diary of Pauline P. / Dnevnik Pauline P., directed by Neven Hitrec and produced by Jaka produkcija, had 13,485 admissions in its first weekend of cinema distribution (23 – 26 March 2023). The Croatian Ministry of Science and Education issued a recommendation for the film to be included in the elementary school extracurricular.

ZAGREB: The Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) celebrates 15 years since its establishment with the programme H15 - 15 Years in Our Film, which will be held in cinemas throughout the country until the end of 2023.

ZAGREB: The Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) has granted 300,000 EUR for five minority coproductions. Out of the 43 applicants from 13 countries, 41 projects fulfilled all of the application criteria, and the artistic advisor Bojan Kanjera made the final decision.
