PRODUCTION: Jurgis Matulevičius Shoots Lithuanian/Polish/Czech/Taiwanese China Sea
Lithuania 23-10-2023VILNIUS. Lithuanian director Jurgis Matulevičius is currently shooting his sophomore feature China Sea / Kinų jūra. The film is a coproduction between Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic and Taiwan.
VILNIUS: The Lithuanian Film Centre has distributed 330,000 EUR for 24 projects in production and development in its second batch for 2023.
VILNIUS: The young Lithuanian director Saulė Bliuvaitė is currently filming her debut feature Toxic / Akiplėša, a coming-of-age drama supported by the Lithuanian Film Centre.
Remember to Blink Wins Best Film at Lithuanian National Silver Crane Film Awards 2023
Lithuania 06-06-2023KAUNAS: Remember to Blink / Per arti by Austėja Urbaitė received the Best Feature Film Award at the Lithuanian National Silver Crane awards held at the Kaunas State Musical Theatre on 4 June 2023. The film also won in the best director and best sound design categories.
VILNIUS: Debut features Remember to Blink / Per arti by Austeja Urbaite and Parade / Paradas by Titas Laucius, as well as The Poet / Poetas by Giedrias Tamoševičius & Vytautas V. Landsbergis, have scored the most nominations at the Lithuanian National Silver Crane film awards. The winners will be announced on 4 June 2023.
PRODUCTION: Lithuanian Director Karolis Kaupinis Wraps Shooting Sophomore Feature
Lithuania 04-04-2023VILNIUS: After his successful debut with Nova Lituania (2019) Lithuanian director Karolis Kaupinis has started the filming of his second feature film Hunger Strike Breakfast / Badautojų namelis on 13 March 2023. This Lithuanian/Czech/Latvian coproduction is set to be released in 2024.
VILNIUS: Ukrainian film La Palisiada directed by Philip Sotnychenko was awarded Best Film in the main competition of the 28th Vilnius International Film Festival Kino Pavasaris, which was held 16 – 26 March 2023.
VILNIUS: Nobody Likes Me directed by Tomas Weinreb and Petr Kazda received the Lithuanian Film Centre Award at Meeting Point – Vilnius, which was held 20 – 22 March 2023 within the 28th Vilnius International Film Festival Kino Pavasaris (16 – 26 March 2023).

VILNIUS: The Lithuanian Film Centre (LKC) has distributed 2,883,700 EUR for 43 film projects in production and development.
