BUCHAREST: Moldavian writer/director Igor Cobileanski is developing a road movie comedy involving two friends from the republic of Moldavia who get into laughable situations as they try to get money to open their own business. Iuliana Tarnoveţchi is producing through Romania's Alien Film Production (www.alienfilm.ro).
BUCHAREST: The move by TV and internet market leader RCS & RDS (www.rcs-rds.ro) to remove the Discovery Channel (www.dsc.discovery.com) from its offerings on 23 November 2012, without informing its audience, has prompted a law preventing similar cut-offs.

PRAGUE: Czech filmmakers Tomas Weinreb and Petr Kazda are preparing with their first feature I, Olga Hepnarova which they will co-direct and coproduce through Black Balance (www.blackbalance.eu), the company they founded in 2011.
Director/cinematographer Jolanta Dylewska is directing a documentary essay based on a book written by the Polish resistance commander Marek Edelman and Paula Sawicka, with Anna Wydra and the Polish company Otter Films (www.otterfilms.pl) producing. Andrzej Wajda is set to direct the fiction part of the film.
PRAGUE: Jiři Konečný and Endorfilm (www.endorfilm.cz) are preparing a new project with Slovenian director Olmo Omerzu. The project follows their successful cooperation on A Night Too Young/ Prílis mladá noc.
COTTBUS: Romanian director Radu Muntean is in development with his fifth film, One Floor Below, which he and producer Dragos Vilcu pitched at Connecting Cottbus (www.connecting-cottbus.de) running through 9 November 2012.
