BUCHAREST: Acclaimed writer and director Cristi Puiu is shooting his highly anticipated film Sierra-Nevada, a feature about a family reunion. The film is an international coproduction with the premiere set for 2016.

BUCHAREST: Radu Jude's historical tragic-comedy Aferim!, Silver Bear winner for Best Director in Berlin, is already confirmed for distribution in ex-Yougoslavia, Hungary and Taiwan.
BUCHAREST: Transilvania Film Fund, the first regional film fund in Romania, will support feature films, short films, documentaries and initiatives related to professional development. Financial incentives will be granted by the local authorities for producers shooting in Cluj, while a medium-sized film studio will also be built in Cluj with the project Regional Centre for Creative Industries.

Opened in December 1908, Kino Muza is one of the oldest cinemas in the world and has been located in the same building in central Poznan for 107 years. Kino Muza was voted favorite cinema in town by the people of Poznan during a poll organized by the local newspaper Polska The Times Glos Wielkopolskiin 2011.
