GRANTS: Croatia Gives Grants for Production, Scripts and Development

ZAGREB: The Croatian Audiovisual Centre has announced its first grants for production, script development and project development in 2019, as well as the third round of grants for international cooperation programmes.

Five equal grants of 538,300 EUR have been given for production of new feature films directed by Zvonimir Jurić, Lukas Nola (both produced by Kinorama), Rok Biček (produced by Antitalent), Vlatka Vorkapić (produced by Interfilm) and Dražen Žarković (produced by Izazov 356). A total of 4.3 million EUR has been granted for feature film production, including four debut features.

An additional 548,808 euro was awarded to 20 documentaries and animations, including the all-time high for a feature documentary, 107,719 EUR for the new film of Igor Bezinović (produced by Restart).

A total of 5,6 million EUR has been awarded to Croatian filmmakers in this round of grants.
