A Prominent Patient Received 12 Czech Lions

    PRAGUE: A Prominent Patient / Masaryk by Julius Ševčík became the absolute favourite at the 24th Czech Film and Television Academy Awards, winning 12 Czech Lions. I, Olga Hepnarová directed by Tomáš Weinreb and Petr Kazda received two awards.

    The films were competing in 17 categories, including two categories for television production. The award for extraordinary contribution to Czech cinema went to Eva Zaoralová and Jiří Bartoška, the important personalities behind the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

    The Czech Film and Television Academy Awards were announced during a ceremony held at the Prague Rudolfinum concert hall on 4 March 2017.
