    ZLĺN: The world's largest and oldest film festival for children and youth, Zlín Film Festival will screen 293 films from 55 countries at its upcoming 64th edition, which will be held 30 May - 5 June 2024.

    The festival is organising several competitions: International Competition of Feature Films in the Children’s Category (up to 10 years of age), International Competition of Feature Films in the Youth Category (over 15 years of age), International Competition of Short Animations for Children (up to 12 years of age), International Competition of Feature Films in the Junior Category (over 11 years of age), International Competition of Student Films Zlín Dog and Competition of European Feature Documentaries for Young Audience .

    Various additional programmes will be held in several locations throughout Zlín, providing entertainment, education and opportunities for meaningful family time.

    Director Hynek Bočan and actor Bolek Polívka will be presented with the Golden Slipper awards from the festival president at the opening and the closing ceremony, respectively.

    The festival will continue to provide a platform for international networking among film professionals during the Zlín Industry Days, with a specialised and unique programme in the Czech Republic, focusing on supporting content creation for children and youth.

    The festival will officially conclude with the Echoes of the Zlín Film Festival, which will take place not only in Mikulov from 11 - 13 June 2024, but also in 15 other cities across the Czech Republic.
