The 15th edition of Baltic Event Works in Progress, under the direction of Marge Liiske, will present films in an advanced stage of production or in postproduction. One of the most anticipated projects is the full-length family animation Captain Morten and the Spider Queen by Kaspar Jancis (Estonia, Ireland, Belgium, United Kingdom), which was presented at the BE Co-Production Market in 2012. The film is dubbed in Estonian, English, Gaelic and French, and voiced by Ciaran Hinds and Brendan Gleeson. Five of the projects have Estonian producers, four have Latvian producers and two have Lithuanian producers attached. The films will be competing for 7,500 EUR in awards.
The international works in progress presentation of films in postproduction is being held for the third year. This year’s Works in Progress is being dedicated to Igor Gouskov.
