Nightmare directed by Marko Äijö sold 25,937 tickets in the first five days from its opening in Finland on 5 December 2012.

Together with the advance screenings Äijö's film has already been seen by 56,500 people. Another Finnish film, Inari Niemi's documentary Robin, on Finnish teen pop sensation of the same name, comes on the 5th position with 5,717 admissions and a total of 11,287 admissions advance screenings included. Nightmare/Painajainen is releaseed on 110 screens (by FS Film, www.fs-film.fi). Robin is distributed by Nordisk film (www.nordiskfilm.fi) on 86 screens..

Nightmare/Painajainen merellä is based on the characters of the popular Finnish daily soap opera Secret Lives/Salatut elämät, which premiered on MTV3 (www.mtv3.fi) channel in 1999.

Other Finnish films in the Top 20 this week include the animated adventure Niko 2 – Little Brother, Big Trouble which came on the 9th position with 1,980 admissions last weekend from total admissions of 147,221, Mika Kaurismäki's Road North which came the 18th with 397 admissions and a total of 264,115. Finnish-Canadian coproduction Imaginaerum came the 19th with 357 admissions from a total of 7,259. Lauri Maijala's comedy Gloriously Wasted will open on 28 December but it has been seen in advance by 1,661 moviegoers from which 314 last weekend.
