BIAFF will open at the Batumi State Musical Center with a tribute to the 110th anniversary of Georgian cinema, with the screening of the Georgian silent film My Grandmother (1929) directed by Kote Mikaberidze, to the musical accompaniment of the famous Georgian pianist Dudana Mazmanishvili.
The festival is organised by Batumi Art-house ARGANI with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, the Georgian National Film Center, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Ajara AR (Ministry of Culture of Ajara AR), the Tourism Department of Ajara AR, the National Tourism Agency of Georgia, the British Council, the Goethe Institute Georgia and the Embassy of Italy.
