The Boat by Winston AzzopardiVALLETTA: The Maltese film director Winston Azzopardi has been nominated with The Boat for the best director award at the UK National Film Awards 2019, while the Bulgarian film Revolution X: The Movie by Dimitar Gochev and the Polish film Women of Mafia by Patryk Vega have been nominated in the best foreign language film category.
The nominations have been announced by the National Film Academy and the public can vote for the winners at www.nationalfilmawards.org/voting until 20 March 2018.
The awards ceremony will be held on 27 March 2018.
The horror/thriller The Boat was produced by Latina Pictures and Hurricane Films.
Revolution X: The Movie was produced by Dreams Industry, while the box office comedy hit Women of Mafia / Kobiety mafii was produced by Vega Investments.
