The film's distributor and co-producer ITI Cinema told FNE that 218,676 tickets were sold during the opening weekend and that Jack Strong had over 600,000 admissions since it premiered on 7 February 2014. The Mighty Angel (Profi Film) holds the number one spot with 253,937 admissions on its first weekend.

The production follows the life of Colonel Ryszard Kukliński, a Polish officer turned spy for CIA. The film was produced by Scorpio Studio and coproduced by ITI Cinema and Orange Polska. The budget was 3.5 m USD and the film received financial support from the Polish Film Institute.
