Szumowska's drama about a depressed prosecutor and his anorexic daughter, who turn to the paranormal for help, is one of the most internationally recognized Polish titles of the year. The film was released in Germany on 29 October 2015, distributed by Peripher Filmverleih.
Body was produced by NOWHERE in coproduction with D35 Marcin Kryjom, Mazovia Film Fund and Kino Świat with financing from the Polish Film Institute.
The film opened in Polish cinemas on 6 March 2015, distributed by Kino Świat, and has sold over 284,000 tickets. The
international sales are managed by Sata Cissokho of Memento Films International.
