The film will be distributed in Sweden by Folkets Bio, Jan Naszewski from New Europe Film Sales told FNE. The deal was cut during the 69th edition of Locarno Film Festival held 3-13 August 2016, where veteran actor Andrzej Seweryn received Best Actor award for Matuszyński’s film.

The Last Family / Ostatnia Rodzina was produced by Aurum Film in coproduction with HBO Europe, the Mazovia Film Fund, Lightcraft and Universal Music Poland. It was supported by the Polish Film Institute.

Polish distributor Kino Świat plans domestic release in late September 2016.
