The story is set in Warsaw in 2030 and follows Adam, whose memory has been wiped-out by the secret service. He gets a job as a janitor and falls in love with a girl from a higher social class or “zone”. During his work he finds an old radio from the 50’s and discovers that it allows him to travel to the past.
"I wanted to play with genres, but despite the sci-fi tone the film is first and foremost a story about love. Films about love, especially the ones with a bit of humor, are working very well in hard times", director Bodo Kox told FNE.
The cast includes popular Polish actors: Olga Bołądź, Piotr Polak, Sebastian Stankiewicz, Helena Norowicz and Arkadiusz Jakubik.
The film was produced by Izabela Igel and Roman Jarosz through Alter Ego Pictures in coproduction with TVN, Studio Produkcyjne Orka, Mazovia Film Fund, Harine Films and Vargo Film. The budget was 1.2 m EUR, of which 467,560 EUR / 2 m PLN came as a production grant from the Polish Film Institute The film also received support from Creative Europe - MEDIA. The project was awared special mention for best screenplay from Central and Eastern Europe at ScriptTeast in 2015.
Shooting took place in November-December 2016.
