WARSAW: Polish Dorota Kobiela and British Hugh Welchman were awarded the Director of the Year Award at the 20th edition of Cartoon Movie, the annual European feature animation industry event, held in Bordeaux, France on 9 March 2018.

Over 800 producers, artists, directors, writers, sales agents, broadcasters and film financing professionals attended the event from 7 to 9 March 2018. The edition featured 60 projects from 22 countries in different stages of development and production.
