Krzysztof Zanussi's competition film, With a Warm Heart, earned the best actor prize for Bodhan Stupka at the awards ceremony of the Rome International Film Festival on October 31.
The dark comedy is the first Polish-Ukranian co-production, with Wlodzimierz Niderhaus producing for WFDIF, along with Zanussi's Tor Film Studio, Monolith Films, and financing from the Polish Film Institute, and Ukranian Sota Cinema Group.
Stupka, a Ukranian actor, plays a patient in need of a heart transplant, who contemplates receiving a heart from a young man bent on suicide.
