Among these films are productions representing the film industries of such countries as Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Uruguay and Bolivia. The programme will also feature three documentaries about Armenia, a country with a long and tragic history.
The festival will also explore the so-called "Estonian Explosion" - the best way to describe the phenomenon of this country of 1.5 million residents which produces just a few films per year. Yet these films were featured at great international festivals this year – Cannes, Venice, and Karlovy Vary.
The Warsaw Film Festival is the only opportunity to see films that will never be screened at Polish cinemas. The festival runs from Oct. 12-21.
