Polish films used to be popular in Cuba, but they disappeared from Cuban screens after 1989. The screenings will be held Nov. 16-22 in the legendary Chaplin movie theater which has a capacity of 1,500.
The other films are I am by Dorota Kędzierzawska, Debt Collector by Feliks Falk, Palimpsest by Konrad Niewolski, Wedding by Wojciech Smarzowski, Angel in Love by Artur Więcek, and two films, Baron and Żurek, by Ryszard Brylski.
The Week of Contemporary Polish Film was organized by the Polish Film Institute and the promotion agency Mañana in cooperation with the Institute of Film Arts in Cuba and the Polish embassy in Havana.
