Bunder has held the programme director's position for the past two years. He also works as a curator for various film festivals and as a film journalist. From 2011 to 2014 he directed the East-West coproduction market, Connecting Cottbus. "I am looking forward not only to cinematic encounters but also to promoting an intercultural and cross-national dialogue that is currently more vital than ever,” said Bunder.

The 25th Film Festival Cottbus will take place from 3 to 8 November 2015. Last year, a total of 165 films from 39 countries were shown on six festival days.
