The main competition selection also gives a nod to the festival’s spin-off industry event, Connecting Cottbus, with several alumni coming through the coproduction market over the past four years finding a spot in the competition.
A total of 12 films representing 14 countries will screen in the main competition. The films range from off-beat comedy to social drama. The films will be competing for a top prize of 25,000 EUR, out of 42,500 EUR to be handed out to the feature film competition and a total of 77,750 EUR to be given out at the festival.
