The festival, which closed on 20 October, screened nine films in the international competition section and a further nine films in the Central and East European competition.
Germany took the Best Documentary in the international competition for Biene Pilavci’s autobiographical film Dancing Alone as well as the Best Documentary in the CEE competition, for Serban Oliver Tartaru’s portrait of his family’s emigration from Romania, Anatomy of A Departure.
The winner of the Romanian competition section, with 10 films competing, was In Mayor’s Name directed by Anca Hirte, a coproduction with France from Romania’s Elefant Film.
