The film is the first feature-length film from the Bratislava director, who previously directed seven short documentaries. It focuses on four blind people in various stages of love. Blind Loves was produced by Artileria (www.artileria.sk) production company. Producer Marko Skop was selected as a Producer on the Move, organized by European Film Promotion. The film, which runs one hour 17 minutes, is represented by Viennese firm Autlook (www.autlookfilms.com) for international sales.
Slovak director Juraj Lehotsky won the CICAE prize for his documentary film Blind Loves, which competed in the Directors Fortnight section at the Cannes film festival, which concluded May 25. The award is presented by the International Confederation of Art Cinemas, an international jury composed of independent movie theater operators.
