PORTOROZ: A debut feature by director Rok Biček, Class Enemy, screening at the Portoroz fest, is a youth drama revolving around the suicide of a young girl. Her classmates are convinced that their strict German teacher is to blame, leading to rising tension as the situation approaches a boiling point.

Only gradually do students come to realize that things are not always as black and white they seem, but at that point it may be too late. Enemy had its world premiere at the Venice IFF, where it was screened as one of six debuts in the competitive Critics' Week section.

A student of Slovenian Academy of Film, Theatre, Radio and Film (www.agrft.uni-lj.si/‎), Biček has made numerous short films, some awarded internationally. He was a co-editor of the feature Short Circuits by director Janez Lapajne.

Enemy was produced by Triglav Film, with a predicted budget of 669,000 EUR, 380,000 EUR of which was contributed by the Slovenian Film Center.
