The love story, based on the novel of popular Slovenian author Feri Lainšček, will be awarded on Tuesday with its fourth Gold Roll, given by the Association of Slovene Filmmakers and Kolosej Cinema for films that attract 25.000 viewers.
The purpose of the Gold Roll is to promote Slovene films and to increase their competitive position in Slovene cinemas.
Rooster's Breakfast, written and directed by Marko Naberšnik, takes place in a small town where the leading characters live quiet and unremarkable lives, but who each have their own hidden passions.
The Gold Roll is yet another accolade for Rooster´s Breakfast, which got almost all the major awards at the Slovene Film Festival in Portoro
