SARAJEVO: The documentary Under the Cover by Nejra Latić Hulusić and Sabrina Begović Ćorić investigates the attitude towards headscarves in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

WARSAW: Marta Plucińska is in postproduction with a star-studded romantic drama, Kochaj, produced by Federico Film. The film will premiere on 4 March 2016, distributed by Kino Świat.

PRAGUE: The new feature length documentary by Helena Třeštíková Lída Baarová - Doomed Beauty has finished production and will be premiered 7 January 2016 by Aerofilms.

BRATISLAVA: Slovak production company Alef Film&Media Group is developing a documentary about an 81-year-old Slovak artist, Alex Mlynarcik.

BUCHAREST: A Norwegian Christmas Story / Snekker Andresen og Julenissen (working title) by Terje Ragnes shot ninety percent of the film with Bucharest-based Seven Film providing services. The premiere is set for Christmas 2016.

TBILISI: Mariam Khatchvani is in production with her debut feature, Dede. The first part of shooting took place in autumn 2015 and winter shooting is set for January 2016. The film is a Georgian/British/Croatian coproduction.

WARSAW: Maciej Pieprzyca, director of the box office hit Life Feels Good (Tramway) is working on his new film Jestem Mordercą / I Am A Killer, a thriller inspired by a series of murders from the 1970's. RE Studio is producing.

BUCHAREST: Ioana Mischie’s debut feature 237 Years, a bittersweet comedy in the vein of Kusturica's Underground, Wolfgang's Becker's Goodbye, Lenin and Cristian Mungiu’s Tales of the Golden Age (Mobra Films) is set for shooting in 2016.

LÓDŹ: Israeli director Avi Nesher is working on Past Life, the first part of his trilogy devoted to the issues of past and identity. Opus Film is the executive producer in Poland.

ZAGREB: Acclaimed writer/director Branko Schmidt is currently in preproduction with Ivan’s Confirmation / Ivanova krizma, which will conclude his trilogy that opened with Metastases and Vegetarian Cannibal. Shooting is planned for September 2016.

PRAGUE: The Zookeeper´s Wife, a historical film produced by Universal Pictures through local Czech Anglo Productions wraps shooting on 26 November 2015. The story is based on the book by Diane Ackerman taking place during the WW2 in the Warsaw Zoo where the director and his wife are hiding Jewish citizens in abandoned buildings of the Zoo.

WARSAW: Polish producer Danuta Krasnohorska of CoLab Pictures has completed development on Love Express. The Strange Case of Walerian Borowczyk, a documentary about a critically acclaimed art house filmmaker who turned to pornography.

BRATISLAVA: Slovak director Juraj Nvota is in postproduction with Johanna’s Mystery, a 75-minute fairytale which will screen on public broadcasters Slovak TV and Czech TV on 24 and 25 December 2015.

WARSAW: Jacek Piotr Bławut is working on his debut film The Day Of Chocolate, which won the Krzysztof Kieslowski ScripTeast Award in Cannes IFF 2010. Studio Rabarbar is producing.

PRAGUE: An extremely popular Czech romantic comedy series Poets / Básníci with Pavel Kříž and David Matásek in the lead roles will, after 12 years, get a continuation. The series started back in the times of Czechoslovakia. The previous parts were made in the years 1982, 1984, 1987, 1993 and 2004.

ZAGREB: Dalibor Matanić (The High Sun) is in preparation with a 12-episode TV series entitled Newspapers / Novine and set to start shooting on 1 December 2015.
