KRAKOW: Czech film director Marek Najbrt is shooting his new project entitled Polish Film. The shoot will continue in Krakow through September 2011. The premiere is planned for 2012 at the Kralovy Vary IFF.

BUCHAREST: Pavel Cuzuioc is in the last stages of postproduction with Doina groparilor/Digging for Life, a 55 min documentary he directed, wrote and shot for HBO Central Europe (www.hbo-centraleurope.com). The film describes the daily life of a group of gravediggers at the Doina cemetery near Chişinău, the capital city of the Republic of Moldova, also exploring the traditional preparations for death and burial in the Republic of Moldova.

BUCHAREST: Sergiu Nicolaescu is in production with The Last Corrupted Man, a sequel to Poker, the comedy that took the second spot in 2010 domestic box office in Romania with 24,234 admissions. The Last Corrupted Man/Ultimul corupt is produced by MediaPro Pictures (www.mediapropictures.com).

BRATISLAVA: Young Slovak director Erik Bosnak is finishing post-production on his debut feature, Immortalitas, the first Slovak 3D sci-fi film. It will be ready for release by September 2011.

SOFIA: Vladislav Todorov's film adaptation of Zincograph based on his novel started its long awaited shoot on 9 August 2011 and will end on 11 September. Production will take place in Nu Boyana's film studios as well as on location.

WARSAW: Łukasz Karwowski is shooting Kac WAWA (a play on words meaning Warsaw Hangover), a Polish comedy about a bachelor party gone wild. The shoot started on 9 April 2011 in Warsaw and will last till the second half of September.

WARSAW: Komeda Nad Poznaniem (Komeda Over Poznań), an original documentary devoted to the Polish music composer Krzysztof Komeda Trzciński, is being shot in Warsaw. The premiere is planned for December 2011.

BRATISLAVA: Slovak director Juraj Nvota (Muzika) has completed editing of the Slovak-Czech-Polish coproduction Confidant, scriptwriter and producer Ľubomír Slivka told FNE.

LODZ: Edward Etler is filming a psychological drama The Silver Fox Of Felicia T. in Lodz, with the shoot continuing through September.

BUCHAREST: Bogdan Dumitrescu Dreyer (A Cold Place In The Sun and Thalassa, Thalassa) will begin filming So I Say withGérard Depardieu and Harvey Keitel on 12 September 2011, the producer Giuliano Doman told FNE.

KRAKOW: Polish private broadcaster TVN has started production on Julia, a new daytime dramatic series about a runaway bride starting her life over. The series will premiere in January 2012.

WARSAW: Małgorzata Szumowska is shooting the drama Nowhere, a coproduction with CANAL+, through September 2011.

BUCHAREST: Ada-Maria Ichim is developing hew first long documentary Hijacked! My Grandfather and the World's First Hijacking, the 90 min story of her grandfather's life.

WARSAW: Jan Kidawa-Błoński, the director of Little Rose, is shooting a post-war drama entitled You Will Never Know. Filming started on 4 August 2011 and will end on 12 September.

BUCHAREST: Shooting for Andrei Zincă's first feature Puzzle for a Blind Man, which began on 21 July 2011, wrapped 14 August 14 in Bucharest. Shooting took place on location and at Castel Film Studios (www.castelfilm.ro).
