ZAGREB: The Croatian director Ivan Salaj wrapped shooting his feature film Women, Lunatics and a Few Good Queers / Žene, luđaci i malo dobrih pedera in Zagreb last week. Croatia’s Plavi mjesec is producing.

ZAGREB: Hollywood stars Eric Roberts and Michael Paré are among the cast of the German thriller Wrongful Death, directed by Vjekoslav Katušin and produced by Germany-based Dream Team Pictures, which wrapped filming in the eastern Croatian region of Slavonija and Baranja.

ZAGREB: The Croatian film community is shaken by the news of the sudden death of Martin Semenčić, one of the most talented young sound designers and editors, whose films were screened at Berlinale, Cannes and Rotterdam. ZAGREB: The Croatian Audiovisual Centre has distributed 2.3 m EUR for the production of 23 new Croatian films, including six feature films, three long documentaries, seven documentaries and six short animated films.

ZAGREB: The UK-based developer and publisher of community-driven games Jagex announced the acquisition of Gamepires, a highly successful Croatian game development studio, which is best known for its open world survival game SCUM.

ZAGREB: Debut feature The Celebration / Proslava, directed by Bruno Anković and produced by Rea Rajčić through Croatia’s Eclectica in coproduction with Serbia’s Baš Čelik, Slovenia’s Vertigo and Croatia’s Spiritus Movens, started filming last week in the Lika-Senj County.

ZAGREB: The Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) distributed 202,400 EUR / 1.5 m HRK to five minority coproductions on 14 December 2022.
