BELGRADE: The ten-episode series Robin Hood, coming from Lionsgate Television and set to premiere on MGM+ later in 2025, will start shooting at the PFI studio near Belgrade in February 2025.

BELGRADE: The Return of Žika’s Dynasty / Povratak Žikine dinastije, a long-awaited sequel of the famous franchise that opened in 1977 with Zoran Calic’ Crazy Years – Žika’s Dynasty / Lude godine, is currently in production in Serbia, directed by Milan Konjević. Film Center Serbia is supporting it.

BELGRADE: Serbian director Marko Novaković is filming his fifth feature, Accomplices / Saučesnici, which is a coproduction of Serbia, Croatia and North Macedonia, supported by all three national film centres and using Serbian, Croatian, Macedonian, Montenegrin and Bosnian actors.

BELGRADE: Young Serbian director Filip Kovačević is currently in production with his sophomore feature Absolution / Oprost, a SF adventure film shot in English. The cast is led by Dutch actor Jonas Smulders, Canadian actress Nina Kiri and Serbian actor Predrag Bjelac.

BELGRADE: Serbian director David Jovanović (born in 1996) is in postproduction with his sophomore feature Sun Never Again / Sunce nikad više, which is supported by Film Center Serbia.

BELGRADE: Director Dane Komljen has wrapped the shooting of his latest feature titled Desire Lines / Linije želje. The film is done as a paneuropean coproduction from Serbia, the Netherlands, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Germany.

BELGRADE: Film Center Serbia has distributed 683,395 EUR / 80 m RSD as production grants for debut features, short animated films and student films.

BELGRADE: Serbian-German director Tanja Brzaković is currently in production with her drama The House / Kuća, a solely Serbian production supported by Film Center Serbia.

BELGRADE: Italian agent Light On has acquired world sales rights for Iva Radivojević’s Serbian/American When the Phone Rang ahead of its world premiere in the Concorso Cineasti Del Presente competition at the Locarno Film Festival (7 - 17 August 2024). Radivojević’s third film was supported by Film Center Serbia.

BELGRADE: Film Center Serbia has allocated 1,965,339 EUR / 230 m RSD in four production categories for long films.
